Working hard on constant rate problems!

When I saw summer camp was available I couldn't shake the idea that we should try it. I'm so glad I did. The greatest benefit was for my daughter who gets frustrated with math.

Each time she saw a new concept she could do it but didn't understand. She was easily frustrated. By the second or third day of each new concept she was smiling and laughing because it was so easy. To finally see math was eye opening for her.

Suddenly she knows understanding and maybe even enjoying math is within her reach!

She also learned its ok to not get it the first time, that we learn more from failure than success. That was a major revelation to my 11 year old. Thank you CRHOM!

Ok--this one made me well up.

Simple concept, put the child in a situation where they cannot fail--and they succeed, That doesn't mean they don't fail,

FAIL. First Attempt In Learning...May or may not be successful, But they will fail their way to success, because they can't help but succeed because they're in a situation where they cannot fail...so they succeed.

The system we have in place now in public schools is anything but, by the time the child is 17 or 18 years old they often leave the public Institution with damaged self-esteem...especially if the child is female.
