And pardon me: for those of you that can't do math, the November 2020 election was absolutely stolen.  Very basic math. Trump won in a landslide, so did a lot of others...this is why YOU need math.

These are actual Math Tutoring Testimonials, from actual students or parents. Turns out getting testimonials is like pulling teeth. One parent told me it will take about six months...I have quite a few hand written, antique testimonials, written on paper that I need to find and scan...

Also you can check my blog and webpage for posts with screenshots of some of the testimonials I have received from people who use Face Book.

Here is another collection of testimonials from people who have found that this really is an excellent way to teach math.

"We are able to use the Mortensen math blocks for all operational math concepts and skills practice plus so much more. My son is 8 and we are unschoolers. Any concept that comes up can be demonstrated and practiced w the blocks. But the really great thing is that we have the CRHoM videos to watch for inspiration and support. Math is fun and we are not dependent on a linear curriculum. We can move from practicing addends one day to multiples the next, algebra, fractions, square roots - anything! So the practice is self-directed and learning belongs to my son and it means something." ~CW, 2013

"I wanted to let you know that I have passed my algebra class. My final grade was a C. I could not have done it without your help, so I thank you very much." ~TK [...doesn't sound great until you realize he was getting 40's and 50's when I met him. Took several 100s to get him to a C.]

Irene Newhouse has endorsed your work as Proprietor at Crewton Ramone's House Of Math.

Dear Crewton, I've written this recommendation of your work to share with other LinkedIn users.

"I've known no one who is more successful at tutoring students with difficulties learning math. Before I took our daughter to him for the summer of 2003, I thought she was going to be one of those kids who need to have access to a calculator at all times. In 6 lessons, she learned the multiplication facts & firmed up addition and subtraction. She went to him again in summer 2010, and her ability to understand algebraic reasoning improved dramatically." Service Category: Math tutor
Year first hired: 2003 (hired more than once)
Top Qualities: Great Results, Personable, Expert

"The math tutoring was pretty innovative. It's a great idea and the visualization using the blocks really did simplify the type of math we were learning. Crewton Ramone was very enthusiastic and persistent, which really helped especially when I first started. I think if I had stuck with the program, it would have helped with upper-level math courses." ~B.Hinaga. College Student. 2009 [She took some classes YEARS ago.]

"Math has always intimidated me...until I met Crewton Ramone. After graduating from high school I needed to brush up on my more than rusty math skills for my college placement exams. I have always excelled in literature, writing and the arts, but I was afraid I wouldn't even qualify for a credit bearing class in math. Crewton Ramone put me at ease in the math world and had me doing advanced mathematics through simple, intuitive techniques. Thanks to Crewton Ramone 's help I now look forward to my mathematic studies!" ~A. Eastling, Artist, some time, part time student, gourmand. 2009

When I was stuck in school my mom suggested a tutor to help me with math. I was resistant at first not knowing what to expect, thinking why would a tutor be any more helpful than my teacher. But Crewton Ramone's way of teaching math makes you look at the problem's from a different angle and it's actually kind of fun! ~Chris A. Highscool Algebra Student. Has since graduated and moved on to the Merchant Marines...

Here is an old one I just recently came across:

14DEC1995

Dear Crewton,

Thank you so much for your visit to our Camp Forum program at the IBI Seminar in Southern California today.

The children enrolled in our program this week are 3,5,6, and 7 year olds. They were all spellbound by your program, as were we adults. Within the span of 30-45 minutes, you had us all doing algebraic equations typically found on SAT tests with no fear of math at all, and to our amazement it was FUN!

I think perhaps even more impressive is the way that you walk your talk.  You set a great example for us in how to keep the children engaged. It is so important, especially at this crucial moment in our history, to find ways to keep children interested in learning and in life, and to be able to keep the motivation for it based on positive reinforcement.

Thanks once again for the work you do, the way you do that work, and for sharing it all with us today.

Sincerely,
Lisa Wayne, Director
Camp Forum

"Thank you for passing along the new password...I don't remember hearing about Mortensen Math until stumbling upon your videos - what a SHAME this isn't the approach schools take with teaching math to our kids. I know that I would have had a much easier time with the subject if it had been shown to me this way. :-/

Anyway, I love what I've learned on your site and I love watching the videos - DBoyz are SO darn cute! My son has mentioned to me on multiple occasions that this is much easier to understand for him (his dyslexia has always made math a scary and difficult subject for him - and I've never been particularly strong with numbers either, so approaching it the way you show on the website has made it less intimidating, and actually pretty neat)."~CD-V, 2012

"We did our first session with Crewton Ramone's House of Math this evening. Wow! I'm amazed. Totally was NOT expecting my six yr old to start learning algebra day 1. I thought we were going to do addends or build walls, but Nope...CR starts with algebra. When I was growing up, I remember hearing my dad say to others who thought his goals for my brother and I were too lofty, that "children rise to our [adults] expectations". Well, CR is brilliant and gutsy enough to expect that a 6 yr old can, in fact, learn and do algebra. And not only did my son learn it, but he enjoyed it and his last comment to me as I was tucking him in, was that he didn't want to watch TV on Saturday but instead he wanted to work on his science project and do math...!" ~Staci Hill Okine, Maryland. March 2014.

"Had a tutoring session yesterday, old dude of 32 here-played with blocks for two hours, and had a blast-who knew factoring could be so fun, at any age! " ~Nate Lee

"Crewton Ramone shows you the simple beauty behind math, rather than talking circles around it. And he makes a mean sweet n' sour chicken." ~S.O.L [By far my favorite intitals.] Massage Therapist, extremely part time party animal. 2009

"I work at XYZ Academy and the principle asked if I knew any math teachers.... They need a math teacher from 8:45 am to 10:15 am. If interested call them, you have the job, they will pay you for 2 hours daily, pay negotiable with experience. You are good at what you do. Wishing you well." ~J.H. Teachers Aide. 2009 [Edited for your reading enjoyment. I have done several teacher trainings there. Names changed to protect the innocent. Demand for math teachers is reaching condition critical. Unfortunately, they haven't printed enough money yet to get me to work there. It's a quaisi-public school. My mother was a public school teacher for 30 years+. Nuff said. No offense to the school.]
